Andrew H. Green and the Green family collection of 10 generations of 17th, 18th and 19th century ephemera, including Andrew H. Green's personal and related items of 110+ lots: very important autograph letters from U.S. presidents, e.g., letter of Thomas Jefferson to James Monroe, James Madison, Andrew Jackson, James Buchanan (then secretary of state); also an important letter regarding the first White House gardener, letters from Frederick Law Olmsted, architect/designer of Central Park, a number of Revoluntionary War period letters and documents, 50+ daggeureotypes, including several wonderful half-plates of Green Hill, a great half-plate of Andrew H. Green; 500+ books, including "Birds of California", a book dated 1592, along with many other 18th, 19th and 20th century books.

NOTE: there are over 10,000+ pieces of written material from 10 generations of the Green family including 17th, 18th and 19th century: several letters from prominent men of the early Republic, correspondence from the original incorporation of the Blackstone Canal including minutes of the first meeting charter proposal, etc.; two hand-written journals from Civil War soldiers (1860-64), letters of James Manning founder & president of Brown University, Providence, Rhode Island; eyewitness account of Student Riot at Brown University 1797; important letters to William E. Green, Esq. with statements reflecting personal views in regard to the War of 1812, Washington policies, etc, bank failures, etc.
